    Videomancer 1.0.0-rc.33

    Unified sync phase compensation — external Sync Out pre-compensates for each program's pipeline delay across Analog, HDMI, Dual, and Standalone routing.

    Changes

    • vmprog 1.1 — per-program processing_delay_clks metadata; all 25 embedded programs repacked.
    • SPI register 0x09sync_phase_advance_clks written at program load (core post-delay + program pipeline).
    • Unified sync path — sync generator locks to program input on vid_clk in all routing modes (replaces per-mode HDMI RX / free-run / program-output paths).
    • Pinwheel area fix — saturation path uses lightweight interpolators so the program fits hx4k after core sync changes.

    Beta testing focus — sync phase timing

    Use a scope or genlock-capable monitor. Goals: lifecycle/beta/goals/1.0.0-rc.33.yaml.

    1. For each routing mode you use (Analog In, HDMI In, Dual In, Standalone):
      • Load a processing program (not passthru or synthesis).
      • Compare Sync Out horizontal edges to the processed output for that mode (analog enc, HDMI TX, or both in Dual).
      • Sync Out should lead processed video by a stable offset equal to the program pipeline delay — no drift or beat over 10+ minutes.
    2. Switch to passthru — offset should change (typically +1 clk vs synthesis programs at 0).
    3. Dual In: confirm ADV7393 HDMI passthrough timing is unchanged; only Sync Out uses program-input phase advance.
